Caitlin Dallmeyer
Caitlin Dallmeyer recently stepped away from her role as the Head Coach of the Lehigh University Field Hockey team in January of 2023. She stepped away from her coaching position where she oversaw the growth and development of the Lehigh Field Hockey program for the past seven years, to pursue a professional opportunity outside of coaching.
Dallmeyer’s seven-year run at Lehigh was highlighted by sustainable growth for the Mountain Hawks, culminating in the 2022 Patriot League Tournament championship, the first for the program since 1994, and Lehigh field hockey’s first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance. Lehigh reached the Patriot League Tournament for the second straight season. As the No. 3 seed, Lehigh defeated host American in a shootout and then knocked off top-seed Boston University 2-1 in overtime to claim the program’s second Patriot League title and first in 28 years.
Dallmeyer came to Lehigh after spending five seasons as the Head Field Hockey Coach at Dickinson College, where she also served as the Assistant Athletic Director and Senior Woman Administrator.
As a student-athlete at Duke, Dallmeyer was a two-time NFHCA All-South Region performer and earned All-ACC and second team NFHCA All-America honors as a senior in 2007. She played on three consecutive final four teams in 2004, 2005 and 2006, with Duke reaching the NCAA finals in her first two seasons. Dallmeyer led the ACC with 121 saves in her senior season and ranks fifth in Duke history with 238 career saves. She also posted 15 shutouts in goal for the Blue Devils. Dallmeyer was also a member of the US Field Hockey Junior National Teams that competed internationally in the Netherlands and Australia.
Amber Auchenbach
Amber Auchenbach entered her first year as the Associate Head Field Hockey Coach at Kutztown University in 2022. She returned to the Kutztown University Field Hockey team in an elevated capacity after spending five years as an assistant coach with the KU Field Hockey team between 2013-2017.
During her first run with the Golden Bears, Auchenbach and head coach Marci Scheuing enjoyed plenty of success together with four .500 or better finishes in five seasons, including double-digit victories in 2015, 2016, and 2017, and a playoff appearance in 2015. When Auchenbach departed Kutztown following the 2017 season, it was to take the reins of Cedar Crest College’s Division III Program. She served as the Head Coach for Falcon’s for one year, where she was named the CSAC Coach of the Year and placed five student-athletes on the All-CSAC First Team.
Before returning to Kutztown, Auchenbach served as the Head Coach for the NCAA Division III Albright College Field Hockey team for three years. During her time at Albright (2019-2021), she compiled a 13-22 record while mentoring four All-Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth selections in 2019 and an All-MAC Commonwealth Honorable Mention pick in 2021. Auchenbach played collegiately at Bloomsburg University, where she helped the Huskies win the 2009 NCAA Division II National Championship her freshman year. She finished her career as a two-time NFHCA DII All-American, earning First Team honors as a senior in 2012 and Second Team honors as a junior in 2011. Auchenbach was also a three-time All-PSAC selection.

Dr. Stephanie Palmieri
Dr. Stephanie Palmieri entered her eighth season as the assistant coach for the DeSales University Field Hockey team in 2022. She also serves as the goalie coach for the Bulldogs. This past season, she helped lead the Bulldogs Field Hockey team to an overall 15-5 record (.750), with an undefeated 8-0 conference record, including eight shutouts, and a MAC Freedom Tournament championship.
Prior to her time at DeSales, Palmieri served as Lehigh University’s graduate assistant and goalie coach with the field hockey program from 2007-2009 after playing two years on the field hockey team (2005-2007) and four years on the softball team (2003-2007). In her senior year, she started all 17 games for the field hockey team in goal recording a 2.63 GAA with 120 saves.
After graduating from Lehigh in 2007 as an English major and later completing her Masters of Secondary Education at Lehigh in 2009, Palmieri then graduated from Temple University with a Doctorate in Media and Communications in January of 2017. She serves as an adjunct at Temple in the Klein College of Media and Communication. She also currently serves as the Assistant Director of Lehigh Valley Summerbridge, a non-profit enrichment education program for highly motivated, low-income middle school students in the Lehigh Valley. The teachers in this program are aspiring educators, many of which have attended DeSales.
Tyler Wilson
Tyler Wilson graduated from Muhlenberg College in Spring of 2022 where she played collegiate field hockey. Wilson had a fantastic playing career for the Mules, starting all 15 games her senior year. In her sophomore year, which was her first year at Muhlenberg, she played in 15 games, starting in five of them. She recorded her first career point on an assist in her sophomore year. Wilson started off her playing career at Elizabethtown College her freshman year, where she played in all 19 games, starting in 18 of them, and recorded five defensive saves.
Wilson began coaching for the Phoenix Performance Academy in the winter of 2021, and took on the role as a volunteer assistant field hockey coach at Muhlenberg College in 2022.
Wilson is currently a graduate assistant for student athlete development in the Lehigh University Athletic Department, where she mentors college athletes and guides them in their academic journey. She is pursuing a degree in school counseling.
Tori Matoushek
Tori (Buser) Matoushek is a School Psychologist at Blue Mountain High School in Orwigsburg, PA. She received her Ph.D. in School Psychology at Penn State University, after graduating from Juniata College in 2015 where she played collegiate field hockey.
During her time at Juniata, Matoushek lead her team to a Landmark Conference Championship in her senior year (2014). She started all 21 games and finished the season with six defensive saves and four assists. She started in all 20 games her junior year, playing a total of 1,261 minutes. She started in 17 out of 18 games her sophomore year, demonstrating her defensive talent with two defensive saves in a game. In her freshman year, Matoushek started 11 games and played in all 20 games as a back, where she was a member of the 2011 Eastern College Athletic Conference DIII Field Hockey Mid-Atlantic Semifinalist team and Landmark Conference tournament semifinalist team.
Jackie O’Connell
Jackie O’Connell entered her eighth season as the assistant coach for the Muhlenberg College Field Hockey team in 2022. She joined the Muhlenberg College coaching staff in 2015 after graduating from Washington College. In her eight seasons, O’Connell has had four .500 or better finishes, and helped guide the Mules Field Hockey team to an ECAC championship in 2016.
O’Connell played collegiate field hockey at Division III program Washington College for two years (2013 and 2014). In her two seasons, she scored 16 goals and had 4 assists. O’Connell led the team in scoring in the 2013 season, her first season of collegiate field hockey, with 10 goals. She was also a four-year member of the basketball team at Washington College, where she served as captain for three years and earned a spot on the Centennial Conference Sportsmanship Team.
Marci Scheuing
Marci Scheuing entered her ninth season as the head field hockey coach at Kutztown University in 2022. Scheuing has built a program that continues to contend on the national level, both on the field and in the classroom. She increased Kutztown’s win total in her first three years and has had consecutive 10+ win seasons for the past seven seasons (2015-2022).
Offensively, Kutztown ranked 2nd in the PSAC in scoring average and 2nd in assist average in 2022. Defensively in 2022, Kutztown also ranked 2nd in the PSAC in goals allowed average and 9th in save percentage. She currently holds a 105-63 (.625) overall record at Kutztown, including a 53-40 (.570) record in PSAC play.
Scheuing was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Coach of the Year twice, the first being in 2015 and the second coming this past season in 2022. She was also named the KU Women’s Coach of the Year twice, in 2015 and 2019. Scheuing’s KU teams have been in postseason contention in each of her nine seasons. So far, she has coached 17 All-Americans, 32 All-PSAC selections, 2015 PSAC Athlete of the Year Anna Behm, and 2018 PSAC Freshman of the Year Rachel Dusman.
As a player, Scheuing played collegiate field hockey at Mansfield University, where she was a member of two nationally ranked teams, including the Mounties’ ECAC Championship team in 2001. She was named the Most Improved Player at Mansfield in 2002, served as team captain of the Mountaineers in 2004, and was named to the Division II Senior All-Star Team following the 2004 season. Scheuing is currently in her eighth season as a coach for the High Styx Field Hockey Club. She spent seven seasons coaching at the United Field Hockey Club, a team based out of the United Sports Training Center in Downingtown, PA.
Kim Underwood
Kim Underwood is in her 13th season as the head field hockey coach at Wilson High School. Underwood is among the tops in her field, as she is one of the most respected, active, and successful coaches in the state. In her first season as head coach in 2010, Underwood led Wilson to the Berks County championship. In her 10th season, Underwood led the 2019 Bulldogs field hockey team to its first PIAA Class 3A state title in program history. She was later named the PIAA Field Hockey Coach of the Year for the 2019-2020 season. Most recently, Underwood led the 2022 Wilson field hockey team to a Berks County championship.
Along with coaching at Wilson, Underwood also helped to start a youth program to grow the game of field hockey in the Wilson School District. With the help of parents and her high school players, the youth program runs every summer. Underwood also previously coached at X-Calibur Field Hockey Club before coming to High Styx.
Underwood played collegiately at The University of North Carolina, where she was a superstar athlete and served as the captain of the 1995 national championship team. She has two daughters currently playing collegiately at NCAA Division I programs, Bryn (American University) and Reagan (Liberty University).
Megan Eddinger
Megan Eddinger entered her 18th season as head coach of the Muhlenberg College Field Hockey team in 2022. Eddinger, who is also senior woman administrator at Muhlenberg, served as the assistant coach for three years before taking over the head reins, helping the Mules to a 34-21 record. Overall, in her 18 seasons as a head and assistant coach, Eddinger has guided Muhlenberg to a 175-146 record, including six Centennial Conference playoff appearances, a string of wins against nationally ranked opponents, and the 2016 ECAC championship.
Eddinger reached the 100-win milestone in 2015, and she became the program’s all-time winningest coach with her 110th win in the 2016 season. Eddinger coached Muhlenberg to one of its best years ever in 2016, when the Mules set school records for wins (18), shutouts (11), and goals scored (61) in a season. They also won the ECAC championship that same year. One of Eddinger’s players became the first player in program history named to the NFHCA All-American First Team in 2016.
Eddinger is a 2001 graduate of Gettysburg College, where she was a captain and four-year starter on the field hockey team that won three Centennial Conference championships and played in the NCAA Tournament in 1998 and 1999. An All-Centennial Conference selection all four years, she also was named to the All-South Region second team in 1999.
Eddinger spends the offseason coaching with the US Field Hockey Futures program. She also coached a USA Athletes International team in Barbados for two years.
Cara Bonshak
Cara Bonshak began her first season as the assistant coach at Lehigh University in 2022. Following a decorated five-year career at Michigan State, the Whitehall native returned home to the Lehigh Valley to the place where her sister Erinn played field hockey. Her brothers Matt (baseball and wrestling) and Ryan (baseball) were also student-athletes at Lehigh.
In her first year at Lehigh, Bonshak helped lead the Mountain Hawks to an overall record of 13-8 (.619), and a Patriot League championship. Lehigh won the 2022 Patriot League Championship with a 2-1 overtime victory over #1 ranked Boston University.
At Michigan State, Bonshak served as co-captain as a junior, senior and fifth-year. A midfielder, she started all 15 games in her fifth year and posted four goals and 10 points, both second highest on the team. As a senior, she appeared in all 14 games, starting 13, while scoring a goal at Ohio State. She was a second team All-Big Ten and NFHCA second team All-Region honoree that season. As a junior in 2019, Bonshak was one of four Spartans to start all 18 games. She led the team with seven assists and scored her first-career goal against No. 18 Rutgers. Over her first two seasons, Bonshak appeared in 14 games as a freshman and all 20 contests as a sophomore.
Lissa Opolsky
Lissa Opolsky is in her ninth year as the head coach at Northwestern Lehigh High School. Opolsky has had a great amount of success in her nine years at Northwestern Lehigh, as she led the Tigers field hockey team to becoming the DXI champs in 2019, 2020, and 2022, the CL champs in 2020, and reached the state playoffs in 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2022. Many of the players that Opolsky has coached have continued to play at the collegiate level.
Before coming to Northwestern Lehigh, Opolsky served as the assistant coach at Crestwood High School from 2010-2012. She helped lead the Crestwood field hockey team to becoming DII Champs in 2010, 2011, and 2012, along with the PIAA AA State Champions in 2012.
Opolsky has also coached for many club teams throughout her coaching career. She started coaching at Kapow Field Hockey Club, located in Wilkes Barre, PA, from 2008-2010. She then coached for and became the co-owner of Valley Styx Field Hockey Club, also located in Wilkes Barre. She coached for Valley Styx from 2010-2015. Opolsky then joined High Styx in 2022 and is in her second-year coaching for the club.
As a player, Opolsky played at the University of Iowa where she was a four-year starter. She played a key role in bringing home many championships to a well decorated program. Just some of her accolades as a Hawkeye include Big Ten Tournament Champions in 2006, 2007, and 2008, Second Team All-Big Ten in 2008, First Team West Regional All American in 2008, and being selected to play in the NFHCA NCAA Senior All-Star Game in 2008.
Kathryne Scheerer
Kathryn Scheerer graduated from Boston University in the spring of 2021 where she played collegiate field hockey. Her career was fluid, in that she played both midfield and defense throughout her time at Boston and was an integral part of their success on the pitch. In her first year at Boston, Scheerer helped the terriers to win a Patriot League Championship. Scheerer started every game in all four years at Boston University and gained a multitude of honors throughout her tenure including, but not limited to, Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week, NFHCA All-Region Honors (First and Second Team in consecutive years), and NFHCA Division I Senior Team honors. In her final season with the terriers, she was named co-captain by her coaches and peers and was ultimately named an NFHCA Division I All-American. Additionally, she was named Most Valuable Player in her final season.
Scheerer entered her first season coaching as an Assistant Varsity coach at Winsor High School in 2021. Together with Varsity Head Coach Erin Calamari, she led the team to win the 2021 NEPSAC Class C Championship over Newton County Day. Through this opportunity, she gained valuable insight into working with student-athletes and mentoring prospective collegiate athletes while balancing a full academic course load in her Master of Science program at Northeastern University.
Following her undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering from Boston University, Scheerer completed her Master of Science in Bioengineering at Northeastern University. She is currently working as a medical device engineer for Conductive Technologies Inc.
